The Fiat Lux Society was founded by a group of Masons dedicated to sharing our core values, Education, Charity, and Fellowship, with the community. The society sponsors a variety of public social gatherings featuring engaging presentations, accessible seminars, and interactive workshops dedicated to timeless perennial wisdom.

FAQ's

What is “Fiat Lux”?
“Let There be Light,” our motto. An ancient clarion call that belongs to all humanity. We, as Masons, hold that term dear because it challenges us to continue to learn and grow.

Do I need to be a Mason, or know a Mason to attend events?
No, you don’t have to be a Mason. The Fiat Lux Society was created so the public could enjoy variety socials at our lodge, as a community of individuals with curious minds and a heart for charity.

Do I have to take any secret oaths if I want to become a member?
No. This is not a secret society. There are no initiation ceremonies, monthly meetings or any other obligations of your time. Becoming a member is a great way to stay informed about upcoming events, to enjoy preregistration privileges, and to have a voice in the direction of the community.

Do I have to live locally to become a member?
No. Events will be streamed online, so being physically present is not required. Though we would encourage you to come visit for the in-person connections. Part of what makes this society unique is the opportunity to mingle with the speakers, charities and others in a social environment.

Do I have to pay dues or monthly fees?
No. Becoming a member is free.

Is this connected to a Grand Lodge? 
No.  The society is not a body of a Grand Lodge, or any Lodge, regular or irregular. It was created by Masons who have been granted the privilege, by the Master of their Lodge, to use the amenities and the building to host these unique events for the public.

Will I learn the ‘Secrets’ of Freemasonry here?
No. While created and organized by Masons to hold public events it is not a lodge.
